Fishing and Family

We just spent a great week with Mike's parents in town. It was really hard to say goodbye. We figured it's easier to be the ones leaving rather then the ones being left. At least when you're leaving you still have the trip home to focus on, when you're left its just empty.
Mike was really looking forward to the visit, not only did they get to meet Lucy, he got to take them fishing!! Three out of five mornings, they went out fishing. Lucy and I tagged along for the first trip, where I caught the first (and biggest) fish!!
After that, we stayed home. She does great while we're up there but screams whenever she's in her car seat. Plus it really wears me out. They did great though, each day they brought home fish. On Thursday we had my parents over for a fish fry and still didn't eat it all.

Ethan was happy as can be to have his "New Mama" and "Stinky Pops" by his side the entire time.

He did not particularly care for slipping down his new slip and slide, but did like splashing in the pool at the bottom.
Have I mentioned how much I love floppy hats?
Holding hands before nap time
Playing with the Ipad

Lucy had her 1 month check up on Monday, she weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 22 inches tall. They actually measured her twice because she grew so fast! We're staring to get into more of a schedule (most days). She eats about every 2 hours and usually naps in between during the day, gets fussy around the time when Mike gets home, and is in bed between 7 and 9. She doesn't eat as much at night and goes right back to sleep until about 4:30 am and then needs some extra love to go back to bed.
